Transfer to Collado Villalba

Hey everyone!
So transfer calls came in last Saturday, and I've gone to a new area. After 3 transfers in Valladolid, I'm in a ward near Madrid called Villalba. The city is called Collado Villalba. It's the greenest area I've been to so far, which is nice. It's also right up against the mountains north of Madrid, so the countryside is pretty.

Leaving Valladolid was hard. I had a lot of fun there, and made a lot of good friends. I'm sending a lot of pictures this week and some that I won't get until later this week. On Sunday after church, we had our monthly comida de hermanamiento so a lot of the members brought food to eat after church, so I got to say goodbye to a lot of them there. Then that night we ate dinner in the church with a ton of the YSA in the branch, which was really fun. Some investigators came too. I miss them a lot but I'm excited to be in Villalba.

Here, I'm back to being district leader, which is a cool change. My new companion is Elder Moore, from St George, Utah. I'm his second companion in the field now. From these last 4 hours that I've known him, he seems like a really nice guy.

When President Pack called and let me know I was gonna come here, he reminded me that Villalba is the ward with a lot of members with musical talent. He's been telling be about it my whole mission now, and when he called he told me that he expects me to use that here. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

In Preach my Gospel, it says that you should do your best to leave an area better than you found it. Looking back at the Valladolid branch, I'm happy with what the four of us missionaries have done there, especially with working with the members. Even if missionary work is hard, it's so much easier and so much more successful when the members take part.
This last week, we visited as many members as we could and gave them a Christmas pass along card set. One of the cards had a ribbon tied through a hole punched at the top, and 4 other cards were attached. We invited them all to think of the names of 4 friends and to make a goal to share the gospel with each of those friends in the next 4 weeks until Christmas. I invite you all to do the same! Ask the missionaries for pass along cards for this Christmas, and pray, and think about 4 people to share the gospel with. If you follow through with it, I promise you that you will be an instrument in the Lord's hands to help someone else.

I hope you all have a great week!
Love,
Elder Dobbs
