Happy Thanksgiving!
This year, I don't think I'll have the luck to have a Thanksgiving feast. We're far away from other missionaries, especially from any senior missionary couple that would help us prepare a whole meal. We'll see how it turns out this week.
Anyway, this last week started out with a trip to Leon. Last Monday, everyone in our zone went to Leon for our preparation day and we spent some time there playing sports, making taco soup, and playing other games in the church. It was a simple day, but a lot of fun, just to be with a big group of missionaries. After the preparation day ended, all 22 of us worked in Leon for an hour, and then we all got together to sing hymns as a missionary choir in the center of the city. It was already nighttime and kind of cold, so there weren't a ton of people, but people walking by stopped and listened to us. I loved seeing the faces of the people who stopped to listen, because they were all smiling, and some of them even started taking videos of us. Half of the songs we did were Christmas hymns, which was really fun. I'm pumped for Christmastime. That night all 6 Hermanas slept in the Leon Hermanas' piso, and all 16 Elders went to the Leon Elders' piso. It was a lot less crazy than you think it would be. We had fun, but we also rested up for our zone conference the next day, which also went really well.
This week the church's Christmas video for this year comes out. We've already seen it, and we're super excited. It's gonna be a great Christmas, whether I stay in Valladolid or I go to another area.
After that, the week was pretty normal. Meeting with amigos, finding more amigos, working hard with the branch, all that jazz. Transfers are this week, so next Monday I'll let you all know what happens.
Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone!
