Visit to Valle de los Caídos

Hello to all!
It's been a good last 10 days since I wrote. Today we're on our way to the temple, then as a zone we will come back to Villalba to visit Valle de los Caídos. Here, there was a civil war in the 1930s and Francisco Franco won and became a dictator until about 1960, and he made the losing side build a giant cross and basilica in the mountains as a monument to remember the war (hence the name Valle de los Caídos) and as his own future grave marker. So most Spanish people nowadays don't like that it's there. But, it's really cool looking, and even though I've been there once before I'm excited to go again.
As far as missionary stuff, things are great as ever. There's a family in the ward that we visit a lot whose daughter got baptized this week. The rest of the family got baptized about 3 years ago but she was too young at the time. It was a good baptismal service. We brought our amigo chileno, Francisco, and he really liked it.
Francisco and his mom, Elena, are still learning about the church and loving it. We've been teaching them the commandments, and they really want the blessings that come with obedience, even if it's hard for them. Elena still hasn't been able to give up smoking but she knows she needs to. On Sunday we visited them and realized we need to go over the Restoration again. Usually the Restoration is what we teach in the first visit with people, and people forget that easily. So in order to help them gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon, we're focusing on the basics again. Because like Helaman 5:12 says, we need to be built upon the sure foundation of Christ, and that foundation is built by constant prayer, scripture study, and participation of the sacrament. I know this is true and I love you all! Have a great week, and May the 4th be with you.
