Teaching as the Savior taught

Buenas tardes,
Another week gone! I've probably mentioned this before, but time is flying by. It's going by faster than I want it to. Anyway, it was a great week. We had zone conference on Friday with all of the missionaries in Madrid. It was good to see old companions and other missionaries I know. We learned about how to be better teachers, to really help the people learn at their own pace and hear the gospel in the way they need to hear it. That has a lot to do with teaching them in the way the Savior taught, and making sure that the Spirit is the teacher. We've been trying to ask more questions as we teach and focus more on the people and we have had higher quality lessons.
We taught two of our amigos chilenos, Francisco and his mom Elena, about the word of wisdom, and we really focused on making sure they understood why it was important that they followed the word of wisdom. As we did that, we were able to follow the spirit and say exactly what they needed to hear. For Francisco, it wasn't a problem, because he wasn't addicted to anything, but we were worried about Elena because she's smoked all her life. But by the end of the lesson, she was able to explain in her own words exactly why she needed to change, and she committed to giving up smoking and everything else. We taught them again on Saturday, about studying the scriptures and praying daily, and it went just as well. We could feel the spirit a lot in those lessons and I know they could too. They both came to church yesterday and they really liked it. They both really want to learn about the church, and have said they want to be baptized. They have definitely been prepared by the Lord to accept the gospel.
We've also been working with a less active member named Luis Yanes, who is also from Chile, for the past couple months. He's started coming back to church, and was a really active member in his país. We brought him to one of the lessons with Francisco and Elena, and he loved it. They're good friends already, and he's doing his best to help them out. It's cool to think that he started coming back to church right before we met Francisco and Elena, and now he's in the perfect position to help them. God is mindful of everyone and His ways are perfect.
