Pray for missionary work

Hello!
Yesterday we had a special stake conference, where part of it was done here among the Canary Islands stake, but most of it was watching a broadcast for all the stakes in Europe. In the time that the stake president (who is a part of our branch) talked to just our stake, he shared a couple quotes from a talk from the April 2003 general conference called "The Essential Role of Member Missionary Work" by Elder Russell M. Ballard. Pretty obvious by the title what it talks about.

He shared some quotes from it about how important it is that the members of the church not only pray for the missionaries, but that we should pray that we ourselves can have missionary experiences. Also, he encouraged everyone to do as much as they can to help their respective ward or branch grow. He gave a super good talk about missionary work in general. We've been sharing the same ideas and the same talk by Elder Ballard with the members of our branch. If you haven't read it, you should because it's awesome.

We got a picture with our investigators Ignacio and Maria. Ignacio is the one who used to compete in lucha canaria, and you'll see why he was really good at it in the picture. They're great people. They both believe that the church is true, and Ignacio has a testimony of the Book of Mormon, but Maria isn't for sure about it yet, because she hasn't read very much. We taught them out of Alma 42 yesterday, and we had a good discussion about faith, repentance, and baptism. In the middle of the lesson, Ignacio shared a scripture with us in Acts 2 that says that we all need to repent and be baptized. Usually as missionaries we're the ones sharing scriptures like that. They're really close and we'll see how they continue to progress in the coming weeks.

Tomorrow we have zone conference, and all the missionaries from the other islands came to ours last night so that we could spend our preparation day together and with President and Hermana Pack. We took a bus to the center of the island, to a place called Roque Nublo. It's a gigantic rock standing by itself on the top of a mountain. There's a small hike we did, and it was super cool. It was also fun to be around so many other missionaries.
I hope you all have a swell week!
-Elder Dobbs
