Buenos días a todos,
It's been another great week. We continue working with the ward to prepare for the new chapel in a couple months, and we've been making plans in terms of missionary work with some of the members, and it's going to be lit. We and some other members are planning an activity where all the returned missionaries in the ward will set up a booth and talk about their missions and miracles that they saw, and the families of missionaries currently serving will do the same. In the meanwhile, we'll be meeting with all the members and helping them pray and think about friends they can invite to the open house of the new chapel, and we'll be helping them along the way. It'll be a lot of work but once it's all carried out, the ward will see a lot of miracles. I'm excited for it all.
On Tuesday we had a cool experience visiting a less active member named Luis. We saw him for the first time the previous Sunday and we set up a time to visit him. We went over and got to know him, and basically he got baptized in 1984 and after about 10 years he stopped coming to church. He came to Spain 14 years ago and finally, a friend of his in Chile convinced him to find the church here. We shared a scripture with him (2 Nephi 31:20) after getting to know him, and before we even said anything, as he started to read the scripture, he almost started crying because he could feel the spirit. I felt like we had barely done anything but the spirit was really strong. It's amazing to see how the Lord so carefully takes part in the details of our lives, like Luis, and how He helps us be influences in the lives of others. Elder Jones and I left his apartment feeling great.
Today for our preparation day we're going to Toledo. I've been there once before, but that was 17 months ago, in my first transfer. Time is crazy. I can't believe it's been that long already.
Hope you all are enjoying life! Have a great week!
-Elder Dobbs
