This week has been another great one in the Spain Madrid mission. Here in Villalba we saw some great miracles. We taught our investigator, Santos, a good lesson about the Restoration. She is almost done with the Book of Mormon, and has read a ton since she got it a month ago. We went through it from the beginning to end, and you could really tell that she understood it. At the end, we asked her if she had prayed about the Book of Mormon and if she believed it's true, and she said yes. The only thing is that she was only here on vacation and is going back to Honduras next week. It was a great opportunity to be able to introduce her to the gospel and the missionaries in Honduras will keep teaching her, which will be great.
Another small miracle happened on Wed morning, when we decided we wanted to pass by a Peruvian lady who isn't active, named Claudia. What we didn't know was that her husband was home too. She invited us in and introduced us to him (Jorge) and we were able to teach him about the Restoration. He believes in God but is unsure about specific religions. He was really interested in the Book of Mormon, so we're excited for him. The spirit is the ultimate guide for our lives, because without it, this experience never would have happened
Between all that, we've been doing our best to work and to meet with the members. In April, the ward will be moving from the current church, which is in the bottom floor of an apartment building, to a really nice new chapel which is almost done being constructed. There'll be a nice open house, and we want a ton of people to come and see it.
Today for our preparation day we took a train up into the mountains and explored a small ski resort town. We hiked around and took some cool pictures. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the snow on the ground more than I should have.
Hope you all have a great week!
