Another rainy week

Hey everyone,
This week has been another rainy one, but now it's stopped and the weather is pretty nice. It was a good week though. We had interviews with our mission president last Friday, which is something he does with all the missionaries once every 3 months. He does it to check in on all the missionaries and see how everyone's doing. It was pretty good. Also this week we visited a couple towns outside of the city of Guadalajara. We visited Torrejón del Rey, and Sigüenza. Last Saturday we ate lunch with a member family who lives in Torrejón del Rey, and then we knocked doors for the afternoon. It was really cool because it was out in the countryside and there were some normal looking houses, which for me was a nice change from all the apartment buildings. Even though nobody wanted to listen to us and it was raining lightly, it was fun to visit somewhere new with Elder Molina. Then on Monday afternoon we took a bus to Sigüenza, a really pretty, old-fashioned town about an hour north of us. There was a huge cathedral in the middle and a castle. There the people were pretty nice and a lot of them had never seen missionaries or talked to them so they were more interested than normal.
Also, last Saturday night there was a farewell for Martin Placencia, the bishop's son, who left yesterday for a mission in Malaga, Spain. He and his family are really friendly towards us and they help a lot with the missionary work. The farewell was really nice and we'd invited a few of the people we're teaching and they had a lot of fun. After the planned meeting, where Martin and a few other people talked, there was food and music for dancing.
This week I had to prepare a spiritual thought for our district meeting we had yesterday. I was asked to talk about how the Holy Ghost can guide us in our lives and from what I studied, I learned that having the gift of the Holy Ghost, which we receive after baptism, is something that is given to us that we need to learn how to use. When we can use it well, Heavenly Father can guide us throughout our daily lives and we can learn and grow, which is a part of His plan for us. We start by following the simple thoughts we receive, and when we notice those and take advantage of them, we become open to more spiritual guidance. This is how God wants to give us blessings and we should take advantage of it.
I hope you all have an awesome week. I love you all!
