Staying In Valladolid

Hello again!
Elder Waters and I had a good last week together in Valladolid. We got transfers on Saturday and found out that he was going to Torrejon de Ardoz to be zone leader there with my old companion Elder Santiago. I'm going to miss Elder Waters a lot. I had a lot of fun with him and we have a lot of good memories from Valladolid. My new companion is Elder Douglas from Georgia. He's been in the mission for 11 months now, and he's a great guy. A really good missionary too, from what I've heard.
This week we had two more intercambios; one with Elder Simmons from the other companionship in Valladolid, and one with Elder Bridger Allan! The whole day with Elder Allan, every once in a while we would look at each other and say something like "this is so weird, I'm in Spain with Bridger Allan!" We had a great time. We had a branch activity that day, which was a training type thing on home and visiting teaching, then had a big lunch, then we all went out and visited some less active members. It was cool to see all the members getting so involved in visiting people who needed it. Elder Allan and I went with two members to a family that hadn't received a visit in a long time.
All the members were surprised to find out that we're from the same ward, and they all asked if our families were okay with all the fires going on in California. A lot of people have asked me about that, but since I haven't heard anything about it from home, I'm assuming they're in another part of the state.
On the intercambio with Elder Allan, we taught the law of chastity to an investigator who we thought might have been gay. We invited one of his friends in the branch, Stefany, to help us with the lesson. We were going through, reading through the pamphlet, and explaining it, and waiting to see if he had any reaction. He didn't, and he accepted all of it. After that we invited him to be baptized in a few weeks, and he said yes! He's one of the most prepared people I've ever had the privilege to teach on my mission.
Elder Allan is doing great. He's training this transfer, but sadly he's also going to an area in Madrid, so I won't see him as much :(
The rest of the week was cool. It included a trip to Salamanca to visit the district meeting there, a birthday dinner for our investigator Victor where we learned how to make empanadas venezolanas, and good old fashioned missionary work.
I love you all!
