Baptism!

Hey everyone!
This week was a pretty good one, so here are some of the highlights. First of all, our investigator who got baptized last week got confirmed a member of the church this week. It was a really amazing experience to be a part of that. But earlier in the week, we had a cool lesson with him where we talked to him and his fiance about temples and eternal families and we explained the blessings of the temple to him and it went really well. The best part was that he legitimately seemed a lot more cheerful when we were with him than he did in the past. He was laughing more and making jokes, and I loved seeing that blessing of the gospel change his life.
We ate dinner again with the family in the branch from El Salvador, which is always good food and a fun time with their 4 little kids. We brought them a huge stack of pokemon cards that for some reason some other missionaries had left in our apartment in the past, and they all loved it. We divided it into 3 stacks and gave it to the 3 older kids (the youngest is too young to care) and they brought them to church the next day and were carrying them around the whole time. It was super funny. But the really awesome part was that Evelyn, the mom, introduced us to her brother who just moved here with his two kids from El Salvador. They have a son, Diego, 17, who was inactive back home but came to church on Sunday, and a daughter, Andrea, 15, who isn't a member, and Evelyn wants us to teach and baptize her. She came to church on Sunday as well, and Evelyn also wants me to teach her how to play hymns on the piano. We set something up for this week to meet up with her.
Last highlight of the week is that today for p-day my companion and I visited a city called Avila that's in our area but still an hour away in train. When we got there, it was snowing pretty hard. It was kind of crazy, but it wasn't cold enough for it to stick on the ground at all. For the second half of our day it stopped snowing but then it got colder and windier. It was still a really cool day. The center of the city is surrounded by this big medieval wall that's pretty famous here in Spain. We would have gone on top but a lot of tourist stuff like that is closed on Mondays. We spent the rest of the day walking around looking at the city, and eating lunch.
Anyway, I hope you all have an awesome week!
Love,
Elder Dobbs
