Hey all,
Hope all is going well with you. This week has been pretty good. Not a ton of new things that happened. The zone leaders came to our district meeting again. Usually it's just us and the two Hermanas in our area in our district meetings, so it's always fun to have visitors. Afterwards we went to Domino's together so all in all it was a good morning.
The weather has been better. Instead of raining all day every day, it rained about half the day every day.
In general, we're just working and enjoying life. We're finding some new people, and helping others that we already know. One person we're excited for is a guy from Mexico named Omar (for some reason, there aren't a ton of people from Mexico in Spain). He's 27, and when we taught him on Saturday he was really interested in the Book of Mormon.
This upcoming Saturday we have a ward activity planned, where all of the returned missionaries in the ward will set up a small table with pictures and souvenirs from their missions, and we'll have a testimony meeting where some of them can share life-changing experiences. We gave invitations to all the returned missionaries in the ward at church yesterday. I think it'll be a cool activity.
What we've been doing with the ward in general is visiting them, sharing some scriptures about missionary work, and helping them write down the names of at least 5 families to invite to the new chapel in a couple months, so that we can start praying for those names. I think, once the ward has the new chapel, they'll see a lot of success with member missionary work. Wherever you are, tell the missionaries you are willing to help them, and ask them what you can do! They will appreciate it a ton and you will be blessed for participating in the Lord's work.
For preparation day today we got together with other missionaries to practice for a musical number this Wednesday. A general authority, Elder Gary B. Sabin, is coming for zone conference, and they're bringing all the missionaries from the two zones in the north down. Usually they have their own zone conference a different day. So there will be about 150 missionaries there. Then the next day, there will be another conference in the Canary Islands for the missionaries there. But more on that next week.
Have another great week!
