Happy June!

Buenos dias a todos!
Happy June, and happy summer vacation, if you've ended the school year already. If not, keep on persevering.
Summer has definitely arrived here, and the week went really well. We had a lot of good lessons where we're seeing some promising progress with investigators. We served dinner at the homeless shelter again, which is going really well. All the people are very humble, and the other volunteers and workers there are friendly with us and we have a good time.
On Saturday, we went up to Zamora again so that I could do my first baptismal interviews as a district leader. The Elders there are teaching a Romanian family who was ready to get baptized, but then they found out that the parents never got married. Because the process takes at least 3 months, the parents wanted the kids to get baptized. It was a good experience. There are 2 kids; a 12 year old girl and a 9 year old boy. The family is very welcoming and kind. The interviews went well, and were pretty simple for a first time.
Besides that, a couple other cool things that happened were that a member couple from Montana treated us to a nice, quick dinner in the Plaza Mayor, and I was able to borrow a cello to play prelude music at church on Sunday.
The longer I'm on a mission, the more I realize how important working on the little things are. The simple act of taking time to read the Book of Mormon each day, of praying with faith, and making decisions with the right attitude are the things that show God that we really want to follow Him, and He will bless us for it. As a missionary, there are a lot of small things that we need to do that will bring us greater success, and through small and simple acts, great miracles are brought to pass. They show our faith and devotion to Him. I love being a missionary, and being able to teach people about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the blessings it will bring them, and seeing those blessings in their lives and in my own. I hope you all have a great week!
