Conference in Madrid and Baptism in León

Hello everyone!
I hope that everything is going just swimmingly with you all. Salamanca is still really cool. Last Thursday we got to go back to Madrid for a zone conference and interviews with the president. Recently, the First Presidency of the church sent out a letter to all the mission presidents asking them to have zone conferences and interview every transfer. Before, we would have a conference one transfer, then interviews the next. It's a big change. To save travel time for the missionaries from Salamanca, we had both the same day. We're about 2-3 hours away from Madrid by train. It was a super good conference. They talked a lot about being our own agents, like in 2 Nephi 2:26-28. There it talks about how we are on the earth to act, and not to be acted upon. It was followed up with D&C 58:26-28, which talks about being anxiously engaged in a good cause, and making our own choices, and we related it to missionary work and real life by saying that we always need to be striving to do things that will help us progress with whatever we're doing. It's a really interesting and important topic. I saw one of my old MTC companions there Elder Simmonds, and two other missionaries who were there with me, Elder Stulen and Elder Tarver, which was fun. We took a picture together, which is attached.
Also in terms of travel this week, the other two Elders in Salamanca had a baptism on Saturday. Since there isn't a baptismal font here (we don't even have our own locale) we traveled to León, which is 2 hours north by car. Usually they have baptisms in Valladolid, which is only about an hour, but last Saturday there was a Young Single Adult activity in León, and the guy getting baptized, Ivan, is around that age, as well as the branch president here, so after the baptism, they stayed with the rest of the people there for the activity. It was a really good baptismal service. They had me play the piano for the hymns, and my companion Elder Calder had sheet music for a piano musical number that I played.
Besides that, not too much happened this week. Just good old missionary work, without any other significant events. I hope you all have a great week,  love you all!
